One of my favorite books for my divorce support group is listed here-I Don't Want to Talk About It by Jeannie Ransom. I read the book and we talk about why the little girl used animals to describe how she felt. Then I have the kids draw a picture of what kind of animal they felt like when they were told they were getting divorced. Then we share what was drawn. I always use when "you were getting divorced" in my language. I feel lke kids feel left out of the equation sometimes but the divorcded happened to them too.--Karen
