When we view our children through the "eyes" of our hearts, it allows us to get through some of the more difficult and challenging moments of parenting. We've all been there and done that, and those of us on the other side of it all can look back and say, "It was worth it!"

Once my son did something really inappropriate. He was really expecting to 'get it'. I wrapped him in my arms and hugged him and told him I loved him. He said he was puzzled...thought he would be in trouble, etc.
I told him not to worry...he would be! But love would come first and last. I could see the misbehavior came from a place of hurt in his heart and wanted to touch on that first and last.
