What are we without hope?

Helping kids cultivate hope in challenging and difficult times helps build resilience. It allows them to learn that even though times may be tough, they won't stay as such forever.

Of course, we have to allow the difficult feelings to bubble up and be heard. We need to empathize with a child's lived experience. We need to help them learn to recognize that hurt feelings are okay, and they can also move forward with hope.

Help is Here!

This two-page resource gives directions for how to foster communication about troubled times, with the notion that hope is within reach. It gives the belief in better tomorrows. We could all use a little bit of that.

This addition to our family of resources provides all the directions you need to help kids learn to deal with difficult times, while keeping their eye on future improvements.

It's an indispensable resource to add to your toolbox, whether you are a parent, an educator, a therapist/counselor, coach, scout leader or daycare provider.

For therapists, this resource can be used across two separate sessions and built upon in play or art therapy.
