Grins and Giggles: Get Your Laugh On with Kids

Got Jokes?

Q: How does a pig get to the hospital?

A: In a hambulance!

It's one of the many jokes I remember from my kids' younger days!  Laughter is a key ingredient to our health and happiness.  Belly-laughs provide "exercise for our insides"!  Laughing is one of my favorite things to do and I often end therapy sessions with kids with a joke (when appropriate)!

Jokes can lighten the mood and light up our brain with feel-good chemicals.  Neuroscience tell us it is good to laugh!  Laughing is good for our physical and mental health. We've talked about it here and here before, too!  But, a little reminder never hurt anyone, right?

Don't Hesitate

Don't hesitate! Go forth and get your laugh on! What are you waiting for?

You don't even have to be in a good mood to laugh.  But your laughter alone just might turn it all around for you.  Try it!

As always, from Kidlutions, we wish you Happy Parenting {and Teaching}!

I think sense of humour is so important in children. It allows them to get on better with their peers and not take life too seriously. I say have lots of laughs and be a bit silly too.
YES! A day without laughter is a day less lived!
