When the behaviors of children annoy you

Some times we just feel annoyed by the behavior of others.  Before we point fingers, though, we might want to explore just what it is about the behavior of someone else that sets off an alarm system within us.  I've always loved the quote that follows, which might shed some light on this very issue.  As far as I can tell, there is much credence to it.  We are often put off by the very behaviors in others that we may ourselves possess, but are unable to accept and master (anger, intensity, whining, irritability, and the like).  When working with little people (and big people, as well) let us always remember this quote!

If there is anything that we wish to change in the child,
we should first examine it and see whether it is not
something that could better be changed in ourselves.
~C.G. Jung

If this quote speaks to you like it speaks to me, I've made a handy printable that you can hang on your fridge, your bathroom mirror, your dashboard, or anywhere else you might need reminding!  You can download your printable here: Quote Printable.
